I bought this moisturizer last summer after i got sunburned. It isn't really comparable to an emergency reliever spray like Solarcaine, but it's much better for your skin in the long run. I've used it ever since as part of my regular after-shower routine all year round. I have really sensitive skin and tend to get eczema really easily from irritating products, but this stuff has never bothered me.
One of my friends actually had a nasty allergic reaction to some agricultural chemical in the grass behind my apartment and she put this on after showering and said it completely stopped the burning sensation she had on her skin.
It doesn't smell very strong, but the faint smell that it does have is subtle and non-perfumey so it won't clash with other fragrances you might use. I highly recommend this.
