 Finally! A user-friendly sunscreen!!! Apr 15, 2008
Facial sunscreen is something I have seen as a necessary evil for years. For my skin's health, I used it. But I hated the formulas and side effects (greasy feel, clogged pores, acne, stinging, irritation). This lotion is a fairly thick consistency but applies smoothly and easily, absorbing quickly with NO greasy after-feel. I did not experience any ghostly-white cast (as is often the case with some physical block sunscreens). Upon application I did not experience any irritation or stinging around eyes or mouth (as is often the case with chemical block sunscreens). It has become my daily, facial sunscreen because it gets along well with makeup (no caking). As of this review, I have spent two years with this product. I am thrilled to share that it protects well and is easy to wear. Thankfully it is photostable. I pray they don't discontinue it or change the formula! My husband uses the SPF50 version regularly as do both of my children. I like the 30 for facial use and 50 for body. It's nice to find UVA/UVB protection that you can actually enjoy wearing!
CONCLUSION: I could spend more buying sunscreen from Europe that contains higher protection values, but since the BB feels so good on, I know that am likely to wear it regularly and reapply often w/o any reservation. All the other SS I have tried ended up in the trash or were worn only on beach days. It's nice to finally discover a product that works as advertised and feels good on. Now I can protect my delicate facial skin on a daily basis!

I have very sensitive, blemish-prone skin, and this sunscreen works great for me! It's not oily, doesn't break me out and absorbs nicely without leaving a white cast. It also provides excellent photo-stable sun protection. I could live without the scent, but it fades quickly and doesn't bother my skin at all.
 New Faces w/ a Nasty Perfume Jun 07, 2007
Banana Boat replaced their standard Faces 23 w/ this product, added a nasty perfume to the formula and raised the price for a smaller tube. I can't imagine why anyone would want perfume on their face. Maybe they are charging extra for the perfume. I called in a complaint and I will be returning the product to the manufacturer.
