Seems to be working Jul 06, 2006
By Ann Greve These bands were recommended by our son's summer camp and we were quite skeptical about them. But they seem to be working very well and are comfortable to wear. Our son likes them much better than the sprays and smelly lotions that we used to use and never really worked. Before using these bands, his legs and arms were covered with bites. We are very pleased with them and highly recommend them to others.

Reduces annoying bugs Jul 25, 2007
By C. Wolf I've worn the Bugband in my backyard in WI, and it reduced, but did not eliminate, the number of mosquitoes landing on me. I tried it one night in the National forest outside Yellowstone, but the mosquitoes were so ferocious it had little effect. I wore it on hiking trails in Glacier National Park, and it really reduced the number of annoying flies landing on me. The smell is a little overly sweet, but I didn't find it offensive. I liked not having to smear anything on my skin. Bugband made enough of a difference that I'll continue using it, and would recommend it.

Love this at the barn Jun 27, 2007
By Me I hate to spray myself down with fly spray when I go to the barn to ride, or work with my horse, so this is great, it works very well, especially in the buggy mountains. I wear tank tops and get bit a lot, and this kept them away in an afternoon trail ride in the wilderness. I am very sensitive to bites and this may be a life saver. Also good for my 2 year old son, who I hate to use chemicals on, but is also very sensitive to the bugs. Great for everyone!

I'll Buy These Every Summer From Now On Jun 10, 2007

I bought several of these last summer for my kids to use at camp. Eight hours a day, 5 days a week, for 8 weeks those kids were outdoors, in the woods, hiking, swimming, and doing crafts.
And I can count on one hand the number of bug bites they got the whole summer. And not one tick!
These bands are deet-free, and worth their weight in gold, as far as I'm concerned. I love Bug Bands!

I am a mosquito magnet and I have recently acquired a dog. Since I knew that I would be having to be out walking and that I live near trees and streams I have tried a few options. I prefer not to have to spray myself everytime I leave my home for a walk. I tried this first and then some other things. While the others worked for mosquitos they did not for other flying insects - so I have returned to these. I have not gotten ANY bites while wearing this. AND - it does not need to be 'worn' as a bracelet. It can be worn anywhere or just carried. I just clip it on snap key ring when I walk out. this is good because it is not terrible attractive and the process of connecting it is a bit akward.
the draw back... for them to last a full 120 hours you have to repeatedly put them back in the container they are delivered (according to the directions). It is not an easy container to use if you have any kind of arthritis or hand pain.... and even without those it is tedious. It would be helpful if the container was easier to use or directions for options... i.e. will a zipper bag work just as good? I will probably resort to such and hope for the best.
