It's definitely my favorite to use Feb 27, 2010 I am able to apply it in thin strips, and contrary to what I've read in other reviews, I do let it dry. It's not completely brittle, but I find when it's soft it tends to be stickier and goopier to get off. But definitely use oil first, apply that anywhere the wax is going to go, and even around the areas the wax is going to go. Do it in thin strips or patches, don't just start spackling it on.
Also, you should be aware that the container is metal. I know with some waxes, people just microwave them. But that will not work on this container. At least not the one shipped to me. I assume they all are metal since you can buy a warmer for them as well. A double boiler method on the stove can also suffice though it's not as convenient as the warmer.
GIGI Brazilian Wax Jan 17, 2010 This wax works really well. It hardens in just a few quick minutes and comes off in one quick peel once you have mastered the technique. Ovreall great product, along with the GIGI wax warmer. Would recommend this product to others.

Wax warmer and wax. Oct 12, 2009 Everything about this is great.I bought the warmer for it and the applicators and strips. The only thing I don't like is that it leaves some wax reside but for do it yourself at home?Just awsome.Cleans better than the salon for pennies.

Extreamly Good ... Not perfect though Aug 26, 2009 To start I'm going to give you some background info: I'm black and my hair is more coarse and prone to ingrowns compared to a silky haired person, i also go through more pain when waxing due to the thickness (but waxing fixes that :D). I use to using the Gigi 'all purpose honee' wax with the strips, which works wonders but when it comes down to my pum pum I'm too afraid to give myself a Brazilian ... its too painful just to do a bikini. Prior to receiving this product i went to a professional and got a Brazilian just to see how its done as well as soften the hair a little (the lady had ta sushh me because i couldn't help but scream lolz). The first time i used this product i took my time and waxed the whole thing off. is there pain? Yes but its bearable pain, if i can take it anyone can (i'm very sensitive esp down unda) and it's a lot less pain compared to any wax that I've used. now i Brazilian myself every three weeks its LOVELYYY. I only use it for my pum pum though even if the process gets more and more easy every time i do it, it still takes foreverrrr esp when i'm in a rush. if you have hair coarser than mine (hopefully not) you would have to use a stronger wax because sometimes the wax doesn't pull out the really strong hairs; someone told me i'm not suppose to do this but i do it anyway: sometimes i have to wax the same area twice to get the hair off(<-- sometimes though not a lot at all). If you're prone to ingrowns this wax will enhance that. I've noticed that this wax gives me more ingrowns compared to when i use the honee wax and strips but SACRIFICES Must Be Made!!! <-- i simply use Tend skin afterwords and i'm fine after that (i'm not talking about using it once after you've waxed, I'm talkin about using it once a day or every 2 days <-- depending on your hair or skin type i dunno) Or you can take an exfoliater and scrub your stuff! that's always fun. i still use honee wax for my underarms and soemtimes bikini BUT ALWAYS Gigi hard wax for the pum pum. ok enough blabbering for me here's what i'm trying to say.
POSITIVES: definitely less painful, easy to use, don't need waxing strips, less likely to get wax-bruise
NEGATIVES: more likely to get ingrowns, takes longer
ADVICE: see how its done first (go to a professional), use an ingrown inhibitor and buy this product worth every penny!
