...seems plenty blonde, with a bit of a reddish cast but far more natural-looking than the "bottle blonde" you get out of the very light colors. In the picture online, the color looks brown but it isn't. It really is a darker blonde, at least on my hair.
I had used a different product, trying to create an effect that would blend small faded (gray) areas into my honey-colored dark blonde; the procedure produced a terrible patchy garish-yellow goof. Ack. So I tied on a scarf and headed for the drugstore, where I found this. I was concerned about re-coloring my hair in just 24 hours but obviously had to correct that major mistake. So far no problem: my hair looks healthy and shiny and ever-so-much more realistic. Of course, it was in excellent shape to start with as it hadn't been colored for years.
The directions were clear, plastic gloves were provided, both chemicals have been put up in bottles that can be re-capped if you want to mix just a little in a separate container for minor touch-up. (Proportions might be tricky in that maneuver, though.) Was less expensive than other offerings on the shelf.
My only complaint is that the conditioner provided with the kit, which I feel really did help condition, contains a VERY strong perfume. Couldn't rinse the smell out. Lordy, when will they learn that a large portion of the population is allergic to those scents??! I had two events to attend yesterday where scented products are not allowed due to people's allergies and had to stay home from them. Oh well, my new hair color would've been far too dazzling anyway.
