Gentle and Moisturizing, but smells like a Christmas Tree Jan 20, 2009
By Andrea L. Polk
"Savvy Sleuth"
Or maybe it's a juniper bush? I can't decide. Let's just say the scent of this product is the only thing that I found was a potentially off-putting aspect of the product.
Picked up on a whim for under $3 per jar, I'm thrilled with how it hydrates my skin. Healthy Brilliance, 'in-shower exfoliating body polish' also works very well in the bathtub and doesn't leave an oily residue in your tub. I use it instead of shaving cream on my legs and it works great!
Pro's: - Sugar crystals are small and melt easily into a nice lather. - Sunflower and olive oils are used in the product, producing great moisturizing properties. - A little bit goes a long way. - Rinses clean without an oily residue.
Con's: -The scent may not be for everyone, and I wouldn't describe it as citrus, but rather like pine or juniper. - Prices may vary widely and it may be difficult to find as it's a new product. - Don't use it on your face as there's something in it that burns the eyes far worse than soap if you happen to be unlucky enough to have that happen to you. Almost like menthol, although I don't see that listed on the ingredients.
The 4-star rating (instead of 5) was given due to the unusual scent of the product and the pricing set by the seller. I can accept the scent, but if the product didn't leave my skin feeling so nice, I'd not buy it again.

"the max"
Good for exfoliating! Plus extremely, reasonably priced. You need to stock up with these prices. And this site ships promptly, without hassles.
St. Ives Healthy Brilliance Brighten and Glow May 01, 2012
By clakie I absolutely love St. Ives products and this one did not disappoint. It leaves my skin soft, with a fresh feeling and glow. I would recommend this product to anyone.
Yes, it does sting the eyes Aug 30, 2010
By Turtles all the Way Down™ But it doesn't sting any worse than shampoo would. I use it solely on my face and neck, and it lives up to the "polish" in it's name. My skin feels polished afterward, I'm not exactly sure how because there doesn't seem to be any build up and it's not a serious exfoliation like apricot scrub, but the skin is definitely smoother after every use. I use it in the mornings to have a smooth surface to apply make up to
St. Ives has a lot of good quality products that are more than reasonably priced. I just hope they don't pull a 'Dove' and go from good quality, good price to same quality, extra advertising and hiked up prices.
