Using 20 years and still have not found anything better Sep 06, 2007
By E. D. Head I love this product. They have recently replaced the packaging and I have looked in every store locally without success. I was delighted to find it on Amazon. I had bought 2 other top name brands and it felt like I put grease on my face. The minute you apply this it is a part of your skin. The price even with shipping was less than either of the other two.

Insane Jul 02, 2011
By Jaquen I'm a man, who has naturally smooth, typically blemish free skin. My entire skin care regiment has basically consisted of a good soap and water scrub in the shower with my wash cloth, and that's that. My skin has never felt like it was in need of a moisturizer, and after a regular old shower wash it feels pretty good, or "dewy" as my wife likes to call it.
But I'm also an actor, and I'm 31 years old now. I drink a lot of water (when I don't I can tell the difference), I don't smoke, and I rarely drink, but I've also started looking around for skin care products that will help me preserve the quality of my skin, and keep me as fresh and youthful looking as possible. For me it's not an issue of vanity, but of actual livelihood; how my skin looks has actual career and financial implications. Having good skin isn't an excuse for me to just assume I'll always have good skin, and I've heard enough times by now that starting younger is better.
Back in the day my sister and mom use to use the old St. Ives apricot scrub, which I used a few times many years ago. You know the one that basically felt you were scrubbing your face with gravel. I liked the rougher texture, and decided to turn to try St. Ives now when I was looking for some skin care products. After reading reviews for several, I ultimately decided on the extremely well regarded St. Ives Timeless Skin Daily Microdermabrasion 4 oz (113 g)and this moisturizer.
Last night I used both for the first time. While I'm looking to take better care of my skin, I also am not looking to use a 1,000 products, or have a lot of fuss and work over my skin. The exfoliating cream was a lot less harsh than I expected, especially in comparison to the old apricot scrub. I used that, let me skin dry a little, and then applied the moisturizer.
Now like I said above, I'm use to "dewy" skin naturally. But about 10 minutes after applying this stuff I was literally floored at how my skin felt. My skin feels better than I have ever felt it in my life. It's extremely smooth, feels taut, and looks vibrant and bright. I don't have a ton of experience with a wide variety of skin care products, so I have no idea if this is standard, but none of the products I have used even remotely came close to making my skin feel, and look, this amazing. My wife came home and I told her she had to touch my face, and she did. She said it felt really "firm", almost like I'd had botox or something (which I thought was hilarious). She couldn't stop rubbing her arm on my face, just to feel the texture. I think she was a little jealous ;).
It's over 12 hours since I put this stuff on and my skin still feels like a satin sheet. I've never written a review for a skin care product. I never imagined I would even be compelled to. But I'm telling you, especially you reluctant men out there, this stuff feels insanely good on your skin. Between this, and the other product, I've found something quick, easy, and most importantly, something that worked from the FIRST application.

WORKS WONDERS Nov 24, 2010
By NYSAVVY CHIC One day I woke up with what seems like the worst skin next to an elephant. 50 years old marked a drastic change to a once vibrant, supple, wrinkle free and youthful looking skin. I've agressively and diligently tried absolutely everything on the market and nothing worked permanantly. Well, some things did work, but on the surface and I wanted something that would effect a skin change. At this age, products that once worked, all of a sudden seemed to be ineffective. At the advice of skin care specialist they advised that I use a product with collagen. After reading the many positive reviews about St. Ives,I ordered and gave it a try. Amazing how quickly this cream works within days I noticed a drastic difference in my skin's appearance and texture. The severe dryness is gone and the fine lines are as well. The brightness and texture of my former years have returned. I'm delighted and proud of the success I've achieved with this product. This is a large generous jar and the price is exceptional. This product is a must add to your cosmetic boudoir. (P.S. I am African American with very dry skin (since turning 50), I use St. Ives along with Palmers Fade Cream (for occasional dark spots and acne marks)...does the job and works wonders. My skin is beautiful, bright and youthful looking. I highly recommend and good luck!

MAIN INGREDIENT ** MINERAL OIL ** Jan 17, 2012
By ILuv2shop I just saw this recommended from a dermatologist on Dr. Oz as a great alternative to high priced moisturizers. I looked it up & see that the second ingredient is MINERAL OIL! What dermatologist would recommend you spread mineral oil on your face! As another reviewer pointed out, Mineral oil does not "absorb" into your skin, it only smothers it & clogs pores. Petroleum by products coat the skin like plastic. It interferes with the skins ability to eliminate toxins promoting acne & other disorders. It slows down skin function and cell development resulting in premature aging with long term use. The reason some people think their skin feels so soft is because it's sitting right on top of their skin & not being absorbed. You may as well rub Vaseline on your face. Furthermore any collagen or vitamins supposedly in it will not absorb either. Manufacturers use Petrolatum/petroleum/mineral oil because it's cheap... Read about mineral oil in moisturizers and you be the judge. I have lost confidence in Doctor Oz's so called "professionals" he brings on his show. I could see if they recommended Olay Complete classic sensitive formula SPF 15 @ only 10 dollars. His Dermatologist said and I quote... "The first thing you should look for is the word "moisturizer", Second you should look for is SPF"...... well she contradicts herself there because this stuff doesn't have SPF in it... Bogus recommendation. Shame on Doctor Oz. Look up cosmeticsdatabase also known as skindeep to see whats in your favorite cosmetics and moisturizers.

St. Ives Collagen Elastin Facial Moisturizer Aug 16, 2008
By Sewing Newbie I'm glad they still make this, albeit now in different packaging. It's is much better than more expensive products - doesn't leave a greasy feeling, no heady scent, and most importantly, it works!
